Connect your account to Slack

Connecting your Slack account to SMACC has many benefits: Let selected users be notified about manually and/or automatically deleted documents directly and live in Slack. Allow users to be notified about new tasks, approve tasks in Slack, and receive notifications about new mentions in Slack.

Connect your SMACC Company Account to your Slack Workspace

Please note: To configure these settings you need the “Owner” user role. Only if the company account has been connected to a Slack Workspace, users will be able to enable Slack notifications.

  1. Open Main Menu/Client/Settings/Notifications/Slack
  2. Click “Connect Company with Slack”
  3. A second window will open. Confirm this by clicking on Allow.

Enable notifications for deleted documents in Slack (Channel)

Please note: To configure these settings you need the “Owner” user role. Channel notifications will be available to all users who can view the channel. Possibly also users who are not active in the channel, if the channel is not closed. In doubt, open a new channel, invite authorized users and set the channel to closed.

  1. Open Main Menu/Client/Settings/Notifications/Slack
  2. Select a Slack Channel for “Notifications about automatically deleted duplicates”. If you don’t select a channel, this notification will not be enabled.
